The Parkway bridge that goes over the James River delivers beautiful views in both directions of the Blue Ridge landscape.    What an incredible natural resource surrounds us.  People from all over the world visit the Blue Ridge Parkway each year.  My hope is that you are not just living on the world, but living in it - in the open air, under the expanse we call sky, surrounded by undulating mountains and trees that sway in the breeze.

Student Art Show 2019

After retiring from a long teaching career, I challenged myself to complete a painting a day for a year.  However after completing 250 paintings, the desire to teach returned.  Balancing my classes, continuing to paint professionally and enjoying grandchildren,  I have been blessed with a busy and rewarding "retirement".  My students, aged 7 - 75, are now showing their talents in our Spring Art Show at Rainbow Forest Baptist Church in Troutville, Va.   Come and visit,  The church is open weekdays and most weekends.  Call church to confirm.
