The bold pattern of shadows and the fresh scent of pine needles made this scene a "must" for my last snow painting! The snow is gone even on the mountains and as I drove south on the Parkway this week, I encountered pink and pale green buds everywhere. Next week will officially begin my series of Spring paintings!!
