I really enjoyed painting at Otter Lake yesterday. What an incredible day to be outside! John Muir said, "I only went out for a walk and finally concluded to stay out till sundown, for going out, I found, was really going in." Liza Field brought this quote to my attention and I found this to be my sentiment yesterday as well. Being outside really helps me to understand who I am inside. When I am outside, I am connected to something so much bigger than myself and I experience a love for nature and for God in a very deep "spirit of reverance and sacred awe".
