Country Roads
Country Roads, Parkway Series # 508 12 x 16 oil $350.
I know I'm showing my age but I remember buying this album by John Denver when it first came out in the 70s. Even before this I was in love with country roads. Going home, leading home, taking me home, nostalgia, the smell of dirt, the orange clay with purple shadows, the sunshine on my shoulders....these things call me to another place and another time. Looking back is fun but looking forward is even better. One day these country roads will take me home, a home not of this world but one much more longed for!

Open Your Eyes
When the LORD opened the servant's eyes, he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire surrounding Elisha. When it looks like you are surrounded, remember you are surrounded by Him. Pray that your eyes would be opened to His power and salvation!
Choices
Parkway Series #506 12 x 16 oil $350.
C. S. Lewis once said...we have choices. Flowers do not; flowers die in the winter. But we have the power to respond; we can choose to withstand the cold winds and go on to those "high mid-summer pomps" in which Our Savior already dwells and calls us, or to sink back into the cosmic winter of discontent and death. It remains with us to follow or not. Choices make all the difference.

Healing, Rest and Rejuvenation
Healing, Rest, Rejuvenation....these are sought after today as an antidote to the sickness, chaos and confusion of our world. The only place to find ourselves and our healing is in the University of the Universe that God created. I worship Him in Spirit and in Truth when I am in my garden or on the mountains or walking in a creek or seeing the magic of His Light coming through the trees. Going out is, for me, coming into the Presence of His Rest.

The Beauty of Light
I never tire of trying to capture the Beauty of Light. This milestone of 500 paintings posted on my blog is a challenge I will definitely continue. My next goal is 750! Thanks to God for the inspiration, the skill, and the ability to still paint the Beauty of His Creation!!!
Winter Reflections
Even though we have not had any snow this year , I reworked an old painting that was a summer creek. It is fun to look back at old paintings that failed miserably and bring them to life again.
