This is a remake of #200 in the Series. I am now going back and painting some of my favorites in larger sizes. I remember this hike to Fallingwater Cascades vividly. This is at the very bottom of the waterfall as you walk over the bridge and head back up the hill. It was a very hot and humid day in August. I love the hike but I will never do it again in August, not because of the weather, but because of the snakes!

Blue Ridge Marathon 2013
Parkway Series #402 12 x 24 oil Donated to the Blue Ridge Parkway
I knew painting #394 needed something else but not until I talked with Pete Eshelman did I realize that it was destined to be the new "marathon" painting. I took some of his photos from last year and added the runners and came up with painting #402! Sometimes it is amazing how paintings take on a life of their own!
